Field Service Operations Manager

Looking for a talented manager that has field experience in a service industry.  We want someone that has worked in an environment that utilizes fleet vehicles, special equipment and executes on daily plans with external technicians providing services or products to end customers. 

Overview
As an Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our service is executed as designed, our employees grow professionally and we consistently exceed our Customer’s expectations. An Operations Manager should be highly organized, skilled in the management of contract cleaning as well as have the ability to understand the expectations of Project Managers, Technicians and Customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing for and, through numerous teams, executing contract cleaning as well as creatively solving the challenges that arise from day to day service. Experience in a contract cleaning or outsourced maintenance environment a plus!
 
Responsibilities
Project Review/Prep
  • Review project scope and materials lists to ensure all items are properly prepared and available for project commencement
  • Ensure services remain on schedule by following project plan, multi-day daily project milestones and through oversight of Field Supervisors
  • Review project plans with Supervisors prior to start of project to ensure scope is understood and expectations are set properly
Quality Control
  • Visit worksites to ensure they are safe, orderly, and setup in a professional manner
  • Conduct daily or periodic site visits as needed to provide real-time feedback with project completion, results, and proactively prevent customer satisfaction issues
  • Effectively communicate with customers, while treating them better then they expect to be treated as per company ethos
  • Review project completion reports and pictures. Document issues and change orders for future service considerations
Employee Relations
  • Maintain order and discipline by ensuring technicians are in proper uniform, adhering to company policies, and following operational guidelines
  • Assist in interviewing, recruiting, training, performance evaluations, promotions, and termination activities
  • Lead employee development and act as a resource for all Project Services Field Supervisors and Technicians
  • Gather and provide feedback on employee morale and make suggestions to promote healthy work environment and retention.
Operation Development
  • Learn technical aspects of all services through mentoring, research, and on-hand experience
  • Gather and provide feedback on training needs, process/equipment improvement, and timeline/scope adjustments
  • Create and maintain PQS, employee performance records, etc. to help with employee growth
Asset Oversight
  • Oversee and ensure maintenance schedules for company vehicles being meet for exterior cleaning, maintain/schedule vehicles service needs, and documentation is kept up to date
  • Oversee and ensure maintenance of equipment is being meet and scheduled for service or repair; submit service/repair invoices as completed
  • Gather and provide feedback on equipment needs and purchases through research and provide best price/value considerations
  • Review, maintain, and purchase materials as needed by following proper ordering procedures Ensure warehouse is kept organized, tidy, and in safe working order
  • Ensure all vehicles are kept clean, free of materials, and ready for crew turnover
  • Other duties, as assigned
